and am pretty much skin and bones now. MY question is how to make myself eat now ? I do try i sit down to eat and look at my food and just kinda pick around at it no matter if its something i like or not. Ive tried the smaller meals more often during the day and i am under a drs care for this. I am at a standstill on this any ideas? I weigh now about 85 and am about five seven
I have a huge eating disorder...I started losing weight a few years ago?
Uhhh... see if they'll hospitalize you. You could have a heart attack, or stroke. Seriously. I'm diagnosed Annorexic, and for me it's a control issue. Once I regain contol of my life, I eat again. It's super hard at first because everything makes you neasus, but the more often you eat even a couple saltines, you'll get to the point where you won't be neasus anymore. I am also on antidepressants, and I feel so much better now. I went from 118 where I was for 3 years up from 112 the few years previous to that, (my dad could take his two hands and put them around my waist and his fingers could still touch), now I'm a size 2 and I'm okay. I was up to 137 (still a normal healthy weight for my 5' 4 frame), but once I got off of one of my drugs, I went down to 124, where I'm hovering now. I feel like I've gained weight, but my jeans are still huge, I still feel like a cow, but as long as I look at the majority of women and don't pay attention to people skinnier than me, I do okay. It's a long process, and you need help. You are at serious risk for corinary failure, etc. I wish you the best, I know how hard it can be. Keep working at it, you'll make it. :)
Reply:since you are so severely underweight it could hurt your health even more if you just start eating. you have to go to the doctor and then see nutritionist, dietitions (sp?) and therapist
Reply:go to a vitamin store a get something that will open your appettite. also buy some vitamins to take everyday since your so thin. don't do the small meals, that only makes you lose more weight and digest faster. eat three meals or two a day so that your metabolism slows down a bit. you could be anorexic so take some iron. good luck.
Reply:I think you need to stop playing with your food and eat it, dont got to eat all of it just eat some, sometimes we have to force our selves to do things even if we don't like to. It is just not healthy and for your height WOW, not to be rude but aint this eating disorder because you think your fat and it makes you feel ugly? Being that skinny must not be too appealing either. I just dont understand why. I really really hope you try and get better. It is sad to hear stories like this because you are doing it to yourself like a drug addict. maybe you need better doctors.
Reply:Instead of moving on to solid food so suddenly, start by having smoothies or cream-based soups which would up your appetite.
Write out a list of your favourite foods and go have fun shopping for them.
Also, buy yourself a personal nice-looking plate, mug and bowl which would help make your food look more appetising.
And since it's difficult for you to eat at the table while thoughts keep running through yr mind, have your meal in front of the television so that you won't be too preoccupied with what you are eating..

Reply:try smoking pot. seriously. one of the medicinal uses of marijuana is weight gain. they give it to aids patients to help ease their pain and they gain weight because of the munchies. marijuana is a powerful appetite stimulant.
