I have hyperthyroid which creates obesity and insomia.please suggests me remedies for controlling thyroid.?
Vitamin B Complex 50 is used in the treatment of Hyperthyroidism as it contains a variety of components required for a normally functioning thyroid. Thiamin is involved in energy production. Riboflavin and Flaxseed are necessary for the normal glandular functions. Vitamin B6 has the ability to activate many relevant enzymes. Lecithin is used in the treatment of Hyperthyroidism as it aids fat digestion and also has shown a protecting effect on cells. Ester C is an anti-stress vitamin. Vitamin E, a widely known antioxidant that helps to improve oxygen utilization. Complete Multivitamin Mix supplies a wide variety of nutrients to meet the heightened demand and therefore important in the treatment of Hypothyroidism.

Hyperthyroidism results in raised red and white patches which occur in parts or over the whole surface of the body, accompanied by severe itching and irritation, termed as Urticaria. Other allergens which causes the same include food, cold, heat, inhalants, sun, drugs, animal dander, intestinal parasites, pregnancy, diabetes, and pollens.

Foods like soybeans, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, pear, peach, spinach and turnips can help suppress thyroid hormone production.

Generally, hypothyroidism is accompanied by increase in weight. Your being overweight might be attributed to other factors. Please furnish other biochemical and physical details such as weight, body mass index etc.

#Lycopus virginicus: - also called Bugleweed, helps to normalize the overactive thyroid.

#Melissa officinalis: - also called lemon balm, is well-known for its soothing and calming properties and is widely prescribed by herbalists for the relief of anxiety and insomnia. Some studies have also suggested that Melissa also helps to soothe the overactive thyroid gland, particularly in the case of Grave's Disease. This herb may help to block the attachment of antibodies to the thyroid cells, as well as preventing TSH from stimulating the overactive thyroid.

#Leonurus cardica: - also called Motherwort has traditionally been used to soothe heart palpitations as well as menstrual irregularity and anxiety, making it an excellent addition to this remedy.
Reply:I thought hyper means you lose weight and under active means you gain weight
Reply:Bascially I suggest to keep excising as much as possible and eating the right foods. Even though you have a condition it doesn't give you an excuse to give up or slack when it comes to your health and image. You can control your weight and appearance and maybe even one day over come it by keeping up your exercise. Good luck.
Reply:Definitely see a doctor. There is not much I can help you with, and there are no home remedies available. If you have a problem with your thyroid, you need to see a doctor before it gets completely out of hand.

Sincerely,

Young Einstein
Reply:Your doctor should be helping you with this. If you have a thyroid disorder (it must be hypOthyroidism, since you're gaining weight) then your doctor will test your thyroid levels and put you on thyroid replacement. This is not a cure for obesity, but it will help your body regulate its metabolism better. Your doctor should also be able to help with the psoriasis- there are topical medications you can use to help control it. Good luck!
Reply:you should be seeing an endocrinologist for treatment for this, not just a GP

and weight gain is usually an indication of hypothyroidism NOT hyperthyroidism
