I have severe wrinkly hands ever since I was a kid. Anyone know what kind of disorder this is?

Both my hands are extremely wrinkly. It has a lot of lines going in all sorts of directions and they all criss-cross each other. I have never seen another person's hand that looks similar to mine. People that I've met in school and even my family all have a so called "M" shape as a main fold like on both hands while I have a 7 shape on my right hand and a reverse 7 on my left. I believe this is a genetic disorder... most likely I received a pair of recessive alleles from my dad and mom but I want to confirm. Does anyone know what kind of disease it is or if it even is genetic? I had this ever since I was born and I doubt my mom drank any medication/alcohol when she was pregnant . I would like to learn more about this. I find it pretty cool even though I've been made fun of for having "ugly hands" I don't care anymore. Any answers would be great. Oh and the soles of my feet are kind of wrinkly too but I never compare those to anyone else. My skin everywhere else is normal.

That depends. Are you a shar-pei? Because then it would be really normal to be wrinkly all over.

I can't find an M on mine either.
Reply:have u ever had any of these symptoms...? * fever

* rash in the mouth

* sores with blisters on palms of hands and soles of feet

* mouth ulcers

* sores or blisters that may be present on the buttocks of small children and infants
Reply:You are NORMAL . I have them too , so does everyone else .

A famous abnormality of hand creases is "simian crease" which is a single crease transversing the palm , it is seen in Down's syndrome among other congenital diseases .
