Where can you get free prescription drugs such as Levaquin?

I have a friend who has a rare skin disorder. She is young- less than 25, but has been told she will have to be on Levaquin the rest of her life (which she cannot afford). She is a single working mom with two kids. She has a son who already is on hundreds of dollars of medication every month. I've found search results for a number of other drug programs, but I don't see one which covers this. Any doctors out there who may know where she could get this???

Social Security and Medicaid are a first step although in some States now Medicaid stopped due to Medicare taking up the tab. Most people are asked to go through the system again to make sure there not covered, very frustrating, hang in there.

Now, here's the scoop. Go see your doctor, explain your situation to him. He should be able to refer you to one of the big drug companies, the one that makes Levaquin, they all have drug programs for the poor. You'll have to fill out a form every month and take part in there programs like filling out a small form about how you like the drug but, it's worth it.
Reply:she needs to look into SS for her son and Medicaid for herself. these will help cover the cost of medicine.
