YellowLabs?

I have a yellow lab that has a raw looking sore on her neck,i dont belive it has anything to do with her collar, she has had this once before and i changed collars but it came back about 8 mounths later is it a skin disorder and if so what can be done.It also has a bad order too. When she goes out side the first thing she does is roll on the ground,She remains very happy even with this, but i dont belive this is nomal. Can you help?

YellowLabs?
Vet, vet, vet. You need to get this under control before fly strike season, otherwise you will have a much more serious problem on your hands.
Reply:go to the vet
Reply:When she was outside she may have cut her skin on sompthing. I would take her to the vet and get it checked out before it gets infected becouse even though it might seem that she's happy she may be in a LOT of pain.

Good luck. I hope your dog get's feeling better soon :)
Reply:Your dog has a hot spot and need to go to the vet. It is probably from her collar. Is it to tight around her neck???

Once their skin get irritated then the dog starts to scratch it and it get all infected.

Your going to have to bring her to the vets for some antibiotics and some ointment to put on it so it can heal.
Reply:It may be a skin disease, allergies, fleas, or ticks etc. I think your best bet is to consult your vet.
Reply:U DEF. NEED TO TAKE TO THE VET!!! u better take to the vet before it gets worse and the bill goes higher DO NOT WAIT!!!
Reply:It is definitely a hot spot, which is fairly common. I have had 2 Labs that have both had them. They often reoccur in the same place. I would say that it is from the collar. Hot spots can be dangerous if left untreated, and they can become infected. I would be very concerned at the fact that it has an odor. Don't take something like this lightly. I don't know how long your dog has now had it, but there is no question that you need to take her to the vet A.S.A.P.
Reply:Animals instincts tell them to live with the pain and hide it (after all, it isn;t surviaval of the hurt) so she won't let on its bothering her untill the pain is severe and unbearable. don't let it get to this point, take her to the vet right away!
Reply:go to your vet and tell them about the spot. and some dogs just like to roll around
