Hardy-Weinberg problem?

Hemochromatosis is a recessive genetic disorder that causes too much iron to be stored in the body, particularly the blodd. So much iron is locked in the body that the skin develops bronze or grey color. It is estimated that abut 10% of the population are heterozyogus carriers of this disorder. What is the frequency of this disease allele in the gene pool?

I think this involves a quadratic equation.

Hardy-Weinberg problem?
Yes, it does.

a^2 + ab + c

a^2 is homozygous, ab is heterozygous, c is normal allele.
Reply:Sounds like 10% to me..
